Founded in the year 2000, this year marks the 25th anniversary season of the Handel Week Festival in Oak Park, Illinois and we have pulled out all the stops to celebrate! Our world-class orchestra begins our celebration with some of the most well-known Baroque orchestral music of all time, Handel’s incredible three suites of Water Music! Only a King could have music like this to sail up and down the Thames! You will feel like royalty yourself enjoying this marvelous afternoon of music under the baton of Artistic Director Dennis Northway. Add to this the virtuoso excitement of the recently-discovered Gloria written for Soprano and Orchestra, sung by silver-throated Nathalie Colas and conducted by our Mark and Randi Ravitts Woodworth conducting fellow, yet to be announced, and what a musical day it will be!
